Interlock recommends that all installations should have a maintenance plan to ensure cleanroom doors and interlocking door systems are in optimum condition and perform at their best.
Creating a maintenance plan with the help of our team, allows clients to form a maintenance plan which they can easily follow and adhere to. The maintenance plan for doors would include:
⬛ A schedule of callout rates so that a client can fully understand the costs involved when repairing a door or interlock system. This would include callouts that happen during regular working hours, evenings and weekends.
⬛ Door reference (easily identify each individual door in your building)
⬛ Frequency of service (factors such as how often the door is used and its importance will play key role)
⬛ The nature of the door service (what items are to cleaned or checked, what wear and tear items need to be examined or replaced, and what adjustments are needed)

How often should I schedule a service as part of my maintenance plan?
We recommend that each door should be checked at least every six months. In addition, any changes to the legal requirements of safety standards should be considered to ensure maximum protection for the customer and for the user of the door.
What types of maintenance programmes are there?
The two forms of maintenance include corrective maintenance (CM) and preventative maintenance (PM). CM involves our team calling out when a door is failing to operate, which involves downtime and further delays if parts are needed to fix the issue.
PM, on the other hand, involves scheduled visits which aim to reduce the risk of faults and errors and to discover issues before they arise. All checks are in line with manufacturer recommendations.
